<p>This device is of the type composed of a tubular body (6) arranged transversely above the drum (2), connectable to a source of pressurised air and including, at the ends of a longitudinal combining tube (converger) (7), two lips outputting a sheet of air having a substantially radial direction with respect to the drum (2). According to the invention, it includes, in the longitudinal combining tube (7) and projecting from each of the side walls (8) of the combining tube, a flow deflector (18) which, fitted onto means (20) enabling its position with respect to the side wall (8) to be adjusted, has, on the one hand, in cross-section, a shape identical, to within a functional clearance, to that of the cross-section of the combining tube (7) and, on the other hand, and opposite the other deflector, a convex profile (18a) having the general shape of the reduced-pressure (suction) surface of an aerofoil (wing) and the polar curve of which is defined in order to incline, towards the outside, and progressively, the flow direction of the air flow flowing over it, without separating from the reduced-pressure surface. <IMAGE></p> |
