A knitted spacing fabric (1) is for upholstering car seats and comprises two parallel fabric layers (3,5) connected to each other via spacing yarns (6). At least one of the layers (3) contains conductor yarns (4) that have been knitted into the layer. These yarns (4) are joined to each other conductingly and feature at least one connection contact (8) for connection to an electric current source. Pref. the two parallel fabric layers (3,5) comprise polyester fibres of high m.pt. USE/ADVANTAGE - The fabric is used for cars with seat heating. The material is simple and economical to make while functioning well.
