A plastics filter nozzle, esp. for a swimming pool filter, has a filter head for seating on a filter plate and a filter tube passing through a bore in the filter plate. The filter head and the filter tube is joined together and the filter tube is seatable by an elastic, radially inwardly movable attachment onto the underside of the filter plate. The novelty is that the filter tube (3) is formed integrally all around in the attachment region and the attachment (3h) is an elastic moulded part which can be moved upwardly, for seating against the underside (1b) of the filter plate (1), by means of a screw thread between the filter tube (3) and the filter head (2). ADVANTAGE - The filter nozzle can be assembled exclusively from above the filter plate, while being adaptable to different filter plate thicknesses, and allows build-up of a stable air cushion for the back-flushing operation.
