Resin materials (I) are claimed, comprising rubber-modified polystyrene resin (II) with at least 60 wt.% soft particles with individual inclusion structure with mean particle size not above 0.6 micron, contg. 15-35 wt.% insolubles (in MEK/toluene mixt.), not above 5 wt.% methanol-soluble material and not above 20 wt.% hexane-soluble material.Also claimed are (i) resin materials (III) contg. 99-90 wt.% resin (II) and 1-10 wt.% volatile blowing agent (IV), and (ii) expanded foam prods. obtd. by foam-moulding material (III).(IV) is n-butane, iso-butane, n-pentane, iso-pentane or Freon (RTM). (II) also contains soft particles with a salami structure, or a block copolymer of an aromatic vinyl cpd. and a conjugated diene or a hydrogenated prod. thereof.
