The light emitted from a diode array (6) radiates to a prism (8) having a stable angle through a dispersion lens (7) and is reflected to a semi-transparent surface (8") at a fingerprint touching surface (8'). The passed light is focused on a CCD (10) through a focus lens (9) to recognize and discriminate the input fingerprint. The reflected light from the semi-transparent surface is reflected to a mirror (11) through a bottom (C) of the prism so that the operator identifies the input fingerprint through a lens (12) and a window (13).
