The multimode video field memory device includes a top/bottom HALF memory cell array for storing a video memory corresponding to scanning line bit and length in the memory cell array, a write data register for parallelly writing data which is serially input to one data line of the memory cell array, a write data pointer for assigning a write bit pointer to the write data register, a read data register for serially reading data which is parallelly output to one address line of the memory cell array, a read data pointer for assigning a read bit pointer to the read data register, a line address decoder for decoding the read address pointer, the write address pointer and the reflash address pointer according to a predetermined address pointer order in order to decode the read/write address line of the top/bottom HALF memory cell array, and an address input device and controller for controlling the address pointing.
