<p>A preferably hand-held hair treating and/or setting apparatus comprising, arranged around a main body, a handle (1), a hair curling member (2) with a longitudinal axis (x-x'), and at least one movable clip (10) for clamping a lock of hair against the hair curling member (2), said clip (10) being freely movable along the curling member (2) between two abutment positions so that it can draw out the treated lock (M') in its initial treatment condition.
