PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF MONOCHOLORO/MONONITRO ANILINE

A monochloro mononitro aniline of formula (I) is prepd. by aminonizing dichloro nitro benzene of formula (IV) or (V) with NH3 gas in solvent of formula (VI). In the formulas, X is Cl or NO2 and Y is Cl or NO2, but X and Y are always different; n is 2 or 3. The amount of solvent of formula (IV) has 3-5 times as weight ratio compared with dichloro nitrogenzene and NH3 has 0.5-1.0 times as weight ratio compared with dichlorobenzene.
