摘要 Sludge is dewatered in a mantle (1) connected to a sludge tank (18) via a discharge valve (3), and to suction pipes (17, 21). A vertical perforated drainage tube (4) is centrally positioned inside the mantle and at its top end there is a beam (7) supporting a cylinder (8) with a piston rod (12) for operating a press cap (13) with an integral rinse water nozzle (15). A drainage pipe (24) removes water from the bottom of the mantle. A dewatering device for sludge separated in an effluent purification plant comprises a mantle connected to a sludge tank, and between the bottom of the mantle and the tank there are suction pipes connected to pumps (16, 20). An inlet pipe (19) is connected to the conical inlet (2) of the mantle, this inlet being sealed at the bottom end by an adjustable discharge valve for the dewatered sludge, and communicating at the top end with a vertical perforated drainage tube centrally positioned inside the mantle. A beam mounted on the top end of the drainage tube is used to support a twin-action cylinder (8) with end positions (9-11) indicating piston rod positions. A press cap with a coating (14) is mounted at the end of the piston rod and includes an integral rinse water nozzle. A drainage pipe connected to the bottom part of the mantle is used to remove water used during rinsing and removed from the sludge.
