The subject invention features a vapor and waterproofing elastomeric bituminous composite membrane having a self-adhesive pressure sensitive bituminous elastomeric membrane superimposed onto a flexible armor coat protection course. The armor coat protection course primarily serves as both a wear course and a reinforcing layer for the elastomeric self-adhesive layer, and enhances the water and vapor proofing properties of the system.
