Disclosed is a method and device for monitoring manipulations carried out on computers (3) connected into a net (2). The method calls for attributes of the data stored in the computers (3) to be automatically interrogated and compared with reference attributes stored under protection. In the event of non-correspondence, an alarm is triggered. Attribute interrogation, attribute comparison and triggering of the alarm are carried out by a monitoring device (1) which is connected to the computers (3) but physically inaccessible to intruders, and whose data storage containing the reference attributes cannot be interrogated. |
