The sectional boiler has a large upper water space comprising two hubs (4, 5) which carry water and are connected to the water channels (1). The return pipe is connected to one hub (4) and the flow pipe is connected to the other hub (5). The opposite flow of the downward-flowing, cooler return water and the upward-flowing, hotter flow water permits a condensate-free boiler operation. <IMAGE>
