Wheel covering for steered wheels of motor vehicles

The invention relates to a wheel covering for steered wheels of motor vehicles, with a mudguard which is connected to the vehicle body and covers the wheel above the tyre tread, and with a wheel-side cover which at least partially covers the outside of the wheel and is connected in an elastically compliant manner to the mudguard such that said cover is deflected outwards from the wheel when the wheel is turned at an angle. For the purpose of cost-effective production and an aesthetically attractive design of such a wheel covering, to optimise the drag coefficient and for improved protection-free retention in the body side region, the mudguard and wheel-side cover are produced in one piece from plastic by two-component injection moulding, the mudguard being made of stiff, high-strength material and the wheel-side cover being made of very flexible, stretchable material.
