An advertising display means secured to an elevator box and moveable together with it inside a shaft which is at least partially transparent or at least partially open, the display means comprising at least one vertically suspended pliable streamer intended for bearing indicia to be displayed. The pliable streamer is secured between the elevator box and one of the extremities of the shaft in such a manner, as to allow the streamer to become folded and unfolded by the motion of the elevator box along the shaft, thus displaying the indicia while at least partially concealing the elevator's mechanism.
