PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device configured to increase success rate in transmitting/receiving information between different platforms.SOLUTION: A program (a) of an MFP writes main-side transmission information to a storage unit 17 in all transmission/receiving methods available to the program (a) (S121). A program b, which is executed on a platform B different from a platform A where the program (a) is executed, and called from the program (a), reads the main-side transmission information written in S121 on the storage unit 17, from the storage unit 17 with an environment variable (S142), executes specific processing (S143) by use of the main-side transmission information read from the storage unit 17, and writes processing result information indicating a result of executing the specific processing on the storage unit 17 with the environment variable (S144).
