PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide device having such a structure that an optical element comprising a light emission part or light receiving part projecting downward can be reliably mounted.SOLUTION: An optical waveguide device comprises: a wiring board 10; an optical waveguide 30 having a first clad layer 32, a core layer 34 and a second clad layer 36 formed in order on the wiring board 10; an optical path conversion mirror M formed at the core layer 34; an opening part 37 formed at the second clad layer 36 on the optical path conversion mirror M; an optical element 40 mounted on the second clad layer 36 to have at least one end arranged inside the opening part 37; and a light emission part 44 or light reception part arranged in the opening part 37 of the first clad layer 36 and projecting to below the optical element 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
