As a result of the invention, a device has been obtained for making a roof truss, which device comprises a plurality of press heads 8, which are disposed in a single plane around a fixed zero point 12 and which are movable in the plane around the zero point 12, each of the press heads 8 being fixed to a control device for automatic adjustment of each individual head 8 with respect to the zero point 12. As a result of the invention, a press head 8 is also obtained for use in such a device, comprising a table 24 and a retractable trolley 34, the trolley 34 comprising a trolley end 36 and being displaceable between a retracted position, in which the upper face of the trolley end 36 is level with the upper face of the table 24 or below this, and a usage position, in which the lower face of the trolley end 36 is above the upper face of the table 24 such that, when the trolley 34 is in the usage position, the table 24 can be raised towards the trolley end 36 to execute a press operation on any roof truss part 28 and coupling pieces 30, 32 disposed therebetween. As a result of the invention, a device is additionally obtained for joining together a plurality of wooden parts comprising a fixed press part 102, a table 100 which can be displaced with respect to the press part 102, and elements 106, 110, 112 for introducing at least one coupling piece 108 between the press part 102 and the table 100, the table 100 and/or the press part 102 comprising securing elements for securing the coupling piece 108 or each coupling piece 108 in place during motion of the table 100. <IMAGE>
