The present invention relates to the reconstitution of volumes normally located inside a solid with a view to carrying out calculations relating to the said volume. According to the invention, the method essentially consists in: a) making digitized images of several parallel sections of the space neighbouring the said volume, b) processing the said data in order to numerically create a contour of the said volume, and c) processing the data relating to the said contour in order to make them usable for essentially numerical calculations.
