Pump having two chambers for conveying (delivering) hydraulic and pneumatic media, which can be operated in axial and radial directions

Bicameral pump (two-chamber pump) for conveying hydraulic and pneumatic media, the system of which can be driven axially and radially. The pump is designed in a manner similar to a vane pump (sliding-vane pump), but the vanes are guided on both sides so that media can be delivered even in the case of low rotational speed. By reversing the energy, the pump becomes a motor. It is possible to combine pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical rotary movements in the two dependently operating chambers. In a further development, internal combustion engines which can convert energy directly are rendered possible by sequentially connecting the working curves to form larger circular areas, by using magnets and by igniting gases. A simple disc which is provided with grooves in which vanes can move is fitted in the middle. Bell-shaped curves are arranged in mirror-image fashion relative to the disc. The result is two dependent chambers which are filled and emptied in opposition. <IMAGE>
