The electron gun for color cathode ray tube is includes a first electrode in which a large-caliber electron beam through hole is formed, the through hole into which electron beam of red, green and blue signals pass having a protrusion at the edge of its middle portion into which the green signal electron beam passes, and a second electrode in which three independent small-caliber electron beam through-holes are formed, the second electrode being formed in the first electrode, thereby obtaining uniform electron beam spot.
