Multi-functional differential test reactor

The multi-functional differential reactor for heterogeneous catalytic processes has a bottom filter, a rotary mixer and, in the mid-height region of the cylindrical interior, a perforated hollow ring. The rotary mixer (24) has a cylindrical core and shaft with a degassing hole (15), the outside dia. of the core being smaller, only by the width of a movement gap, than the inside dia. of the hollow ring (19). The core has two diametrally arranged eccentric cams (25,26) of circular and equal size circumference and with similar slopes at their facing sides. The cam projections, at the points of max. projection height, fill the vertical cross-sectional area of the annular hollow spaces of the reactor interior above and below the hollow ring (19), except for small movement gaps. The lower cam (26), together with the core, has a bottom transverse groove (27) passing perpendicularly to its symmetry axis and that of the rotary mixer (24). The vol. of the cam movement gaps is the same as or slightly greater than the hollow space vol. of the hollow ring (19) and the vol. difference between the sum of the cam movement spaces and the sum of the cam volumes is 1-1.5 times the hollow space vol. of the hollow ring (19). The rotary mixer (24) has a low wall roughness relative to that of the interior walls of the resistor.
