PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which flame retardance and mutual solubility of a nonaqueous electrolyte are compatible with excellent battery characteristics, by containing phosphate ester which is not decomposed reductively on the carbon negative electrode surface, and having a specific structure not causing degradation of the battery characteristics, in the nonaqueous electrolyte.SOLUTION: In a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery including a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a lithium salt, the nonaqueous electrolyte contains phosphate ester containing fluorine represented by following general formula (1) (In the formula, k, m, n are integers of 0-2, a, b, c are 1 or 2, d is an integer of 0-2k, e is an integer of 0-2m, f is an integer of 0-2n, g, h are integers of 0-3). |
