PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method and a communication device that can appropriately and simply determine that a normal packet is received.SOLUTION: A communication method of the invention transmits and receives packets between a transmitting station and a receiving station. A packet is made up of a synchronization data part that includes a bit string with a fixed arrangement pattern and is used for synchronization, and a physical data part that includes a bit string with a fixed arrangement pattern and includes data handled at a physical layer. The communication method includes a synchronization arrangement pattern detection step, a physical arrangement pattern detection step, and a normal reception determination step. In the synchronization arrangement pattern detection step, if it is detected that the bit string with the fixed arrangement pattern included in the synchronization data part has a normal arrangement pattern, and in the physical arrangement pattern detection step, if it is detected that the bit string with the fixed arrangement pattern included in the physical data part has a normal arrangement pattern, in the normal reception determination step, it is determined that the receiving station received a normal packet. |
