Food heating chamber

The heating chamber, to contain materials in a hot environment for long time periods and especially foodstuffs such as ready meals or side dishes, has side walls with inner and outer walls of a material with a relatively high thermal conductivity. The gap between the double-wall structure is filled with an insulation such as glass wool, with an insulation paper between the insulation and the inner wall surface. Shrouding plates are fitted to the inner side of the inner wall composed of a laminate and a further insulation such as of styrene or urethane. A further insulation is fitted of a material such as polyethylene. Heating ceramic plates are fitted to the interior of the U-shaped heating shroud frame, to give an air space between the shrouding plate and the ceramic plate.
