A bleach dispersion of long shelf life comprising, apart from at least one peracid or salts thereof, one or more fluorescent whiteners of the bis(benzofuranyl) type and the preparation and use of this bleach dispersion for the simultaneous bleaching and whitening of household and industrial fabrics at temperatures starting from +10 DEG C. or higher are described.
