NEW DIFFUSION-OSMOTIC PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS HAVING CONTROLLED RELEASE OF THE MEDICINE AND METHOD FOR THEIR PREPARATION

The compounds are used for the preparation of tablets having controlled release of the medicament contained as active agent, such as -adrenergetic inhibitors: propanol, calcium antagonists such as nifidipine, angiotensic hydrolytic enzymic (ACE) inhibitors such as captopryl, prazosine, nitroglycerol, all used in cardiac diseases and blood circulation disorders, vascular expansion active agents such as pentoxyphilite, non-steroid anti-inflammatory agents such as neproxen, analgetoic drugs such as morphine and medicaments effecting the central nervous system such as amitriptiline and buspiron. The compositions are in the form of tablets which contain a single-layer core with polymer film coating, therapeutically active agent and hydrofilic polymer. If necessary, the tablets can contain two-layer core with an active agent and hydrophilic polymer, in the first layer, respectively, and hydrophilic polymer in the second layer, respectively. The tablets have at least one hole in the film coating, in contact with the core or the layer of the core containing the active agent. If necessary, the tablets can contain one or more holes in the respective part in contact with the second layer containing the hydrophilic polymer. The second layer consists of a copolymer of ammonium metacrylate as an enveloping material and hydroxypropyl-methylcellulose as hydrophilic polymer.
