The file (1) has first (2) and second (3) binder covers, which via at least one fold link (4) are connected with a file back, longitudinally divided into a first back part (7) and a second back part (8). The back parts are pivotably connected to one another via a back link (9). The back link in the closed position of the file is arranged approximately centrally between the fold links for the binder covers. On the file back is provided at least one stirrup-type sheet holder (5), which with a part area penetrates the sheet holing. Near to this part area a closure position is provided for insertion and removal of the sheets.
