Microwave lens aerial for car distance warning radar

The aerial has a radiation excitation system and a dielectric lens (5) transparent to electromagnetic waves. The radiation excitation system generates a left, middle and right radiation lobe (4, 2, 3) by three separately switchable exciters (8, 6, 2).The left- and right-hand lobes (4, 3) overlap the middle one (2) in the flank suction of the horizontal aerial diagram. The lens is of collector type with a short focal length comprises thick and loss reducing steps. Pref., the radiation lobes have stronger beams in the vertical plane.
