Cutting device for pipes

The device has an inner mandrel (54) contained in the pipe (8) to be cut and which is held by a cable (50) connected through the not yet closed pipe to a special carriage or traveller (48). The inner mandrel is cylindrical, made of synthetic material, and has a diameter which conforms to the width of the pipe. In the longitudinal region of the circular knife the mandrel has a steel cover.
