PURPOSE:To provide a range finding optical system and a range finding system for a single lens reflex camera whose release time lag is shortened and whose mechanical mechanism is simplified. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with photographic lenses 1 and 2 for forming the image of an object on a film 5, a main mirror 3 fixed between the photographic lenses 1, 2 and the film 5 and prepared for partially reflecting the luminous flux of an object toward the finder optical system and for partially transmitting the luminous flux toward the film 5, a fixed submirror 6 for partially reflecting the luminous flux of the object reflected by the main mirror 3, an AF sensor 8 for partially receiving the luminous flux of the object reflected by the submirror 6 and focusing the photographic lenses 1 and 2, and an AF arithmetic circuit 17 for performing the integration operation of the AF sensor 8 and an arithmetic operation for focusing the photographic lenses 1 and 2 at least either before exposure, or in the process of exposure. |
