PURPOSE:To provide the installing structure of a sleeve metal fitting for jack having no dropping of the sleeve metal fitting from a jack housing caused by receiving gauging action from a plug and having easy positioning to the locking position of the sleeve metal fitting. CONSTITUTION:An installing groove 7 recessed from the front of a cylindrical sleeve 3 is provided. A declined guide surface 8a is formed at the tip part of a positioning protrusion 8 protruded from the inner bottom surface of the installing groove 7. In installing a sleeve metal fitting 10, a leg part 12 is guided to a locking recessed part 9 owing to the declined guide surface 8a to enable positioning to a locking position. Under the installed state, the sleeve metal fitting 10 is not exposed to a plug inserting hole 4, receiving no gouging action from a plug 6.
