PURPOSE:To prepare a required tapelike label simply quickly by using a tape of a width optimum for a selected label name. CONSTITUTION:When a routine label-preparing key is operated, a label name- selecting image plane wherein 'access of a registered file' is displayed on a lower column, is displayed. When a lower cursor key is operated herein, 1 is added to a label pointer value (S42) when the label pointer value does not reach the maximum value (S40, S41:No). The optimum tape width data of a label name specified by the label pointer value is read (S43). When it conforms to a tape width of a fitted tape cassette (S44 : Yes), a label name indicated by the label pointer value is displayed. When it does not fonform thereto (S44:No), on and after S10 is repeated until it comes to be a label name having the optimum tape width data conforming to the tape width of the fitted tape cassette. |
