Lubricating oil circuit suitable for various engines

The suction equipment is mounted on the oil sump, and the suction is applied to the area above the piston rings. Oil is fed in by an electrically driven pump which is controlled by a potentiometer via a central computer chip which also controls the suction equipment. The required data for the control are obtained from a prototype engine of similar construction. After optimum adjustment on a test bed, the data are incorporated in production engines. The outlet of the air from the suction equipment is fed to the engine exhaust in which an additional filter and catalytic converter can also be mounted. After final assembly of a production engine, oil lines are cleaned e.g. with compressed air.
