Heat engine with rotor and cells

Cells (44,48) communicating with the inlet and outlet regions of the hollow cylindrical sectors (12,14) are so designed that as the displacement rotors (90) revolve in the hollow cylinders, the difference in vol. between the two cells (44,48) is minimal and thus has no negative effect on the efficiency of the heat engine. The sectors (12,14) are pref. circular in section and the working angle (ALPHA) by which compression and expansion take place is in each case less than 180 deg. The indicated cell vanes (82) are laterally fitted to the inner ring (101) of the roller bearing (100) or on a cylindrical sliding ring, specifically via control pins, and a spacer ring on bearing or slide ring keeps the vanes at preset distance from the inside boundary wall (85) of the vanes and the endwalls of the respective sectors (12,14).
