Hollow ceramic conveyor roller, esp. for continuous=flow furnace

The roller body (10), esp. formed by thermal spraying, is closed by discs (13,14) at its ends (11,12). These exert pressure on it in the axial direction. The component (16) joining them passes through the roller interior (15) and is resistant to the operating temperature or protected from it. The component ends (16',16") pull the discs against the roller end faces (17), and one end at least can be pulled tight from the outside. The component can consist of a rope (18) of ceramic fibres, or of a solid tie rod. It can be coaxial to the body, passing through both discs and bearing trunnions (20) formed on them.
