Drying device as part of vehicle washing system

The drying device performs relative movement between the vehicle and an opening above the vehicle containing a drying device. The unit contains a pivoting device (5) which moves and inclines the air channel (3) against the vehicle (1). The unit also comprises a light barrier (31,32) which is located at the moving air channel and recognises the vehicle and so affects the pivoting action. The air channel has air spray means with nozzles, and the light barriers are located at their ends.
