PURPOSE: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging device having the capability of providing a clear image without coupling between a normally conductive shim coil and an RF coil, having high and even magnetic field capable of coping with a necessary ultrahigh speed imaging process, and allowing the application of a compact design without enlarging a superconducting magnet to ensure necessary image diagnosing space. CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with a central control device 12 for entering an NMR signal from a specimen via an RF receiving coil 9 and outputting a shim coil current indication value for the even correction of magnetic field, an ASG coil power supply 10 for receiving the current indication value and sending the value to each shim coil as an offset value for an ASG coil 7, a superconducting shim coil power supply 13, and auto shim coil formed out of the coil 7 and a superconducting shim coil 2.
