The prosthesis, designed to be implanted in the vagina (7), consists of an expandable body (15) which exerts a constant pressure at the back of the vaginal cavity and at the front against the public symphysis. The body (15) is connected to an inflation device (8) situated outside the vagina and consists of a semi-rigid peripheral section (12) and an inflatable central membrane (13), and is fitted during a surgical operation with celioscopic monitoring to ensure correct positioning and support of the intestines, uterus, vagina and bladder. |
