PURPOSE: To improve an erase characteristic or the number of rewrite times of a high reflectance rewritable optical disk reproducible by a CD-ROM reproducing device by irradiating the optical disk with plural laser beams of which outputs are different from each other through an objective lens. CONSTITUTION: This device is capable of reproducing a reproduction exclusive optical disk (CD-ROM) recording information by providing a pit on a flat part and recording/reproducing on a rewritable optical disk capable of recording/ erasing the information. Then, two laser beams irradiating the same track 3 through the objective lens are arranged on the track 3 as a preceding beam 4 and a main beam 5 separated by several tensμm from each other. Then, the laser output waveform of the main beam 5 is shaped based on the reproducing output of the preceding beam 4, and the recording and/or the erasure is performed using the laser power.
