IMMOBILIZED MICROORGANISM AND THE PREPARATION PROCESS THEREOF

The immobilized cell (I) formulation for wastewater treatment consists of (1) culturing Rhodobacter sphaeroides or R. capsulata in the medium containing yeast extract 2 gram, tryptone 1 gram, glutamic acid 3.4 gram, biotin 4 milligram, nicotinic acid 1 milligram, thiamine 1 milligram per liter and metals such as Fe, Co, Ca, Mg and (2) adding 0.5-5% sodium silicate solution 40-80 part to culture broth of (1) 20-60 part to form gel. (I) is useful for storage and carrying for cell of wastewater treatment.
