Linear drive with prim. and sec. sliders on stationary guide rail

The prim. slider (18) movable along the rail (16) between two end supports (12,14) has a guide (22) along its opposite face (20) for the sec. slider (24) on which a vertical slider (28) can be raised and lowered. A first motor (32) mounted on the prim. slider has a vertical output shaft with a sprocket driving a toothed belt (34) fixed to the sec. slider. A second motor (36) driving a sprocket and toothed belt under a cover (38) rotates a keyed shaft and a toothed wheel moving together with the sec. slider to operate the vertical slider. Either the prim. or the sec. slider can be locked (44 or 42) to the rail.
