<p>This invention provides pneumatic tires having improved wet performance without degrading resistance to uneven wear. A pneumatic tire having a plurality of main grooves (2) and a large number of sipes (3) extending between adjacent main grooves and opening to both grooves is characterized in that the sipe (3) has substantially uniform width in the depth direction at the both end portions opening to the main grooves, and has an expanded width portion (3e) at the bottom of the sipe at at least the greater part of the remaining portion except for the uniform width portion. <IMAGE></p> |
