Access door for motor vehicles

The door (3) has a frame (4) for a window, which is divided in order to allow all or part of the upper frame member to be removed. All or part of the rear frame member, with respect to the forward direction of travel of the vehicle, can also be removed. These parts (5) may be removed as one component, or as individually separable components. The removable parts may be connected to the other parts (4a,4b) of the frame which remain fixed to the door, by the use of shape mated connectors (6a,6b) and releasable fasteners (7a,7b).
