FIELD: ferrous metallurgy and glass industry, refractory and ceramic pieces production processes, protecting pipes and steel casting immersing cylinders production, that are used in continuous steel casting, and for production of heat-insulating covers of blast-furnace air tuyeres, drop forming apparatuses of glass mass feeders and other refractory pieces. SUBSTANCE: quartz glass is comminuted in ball mill by ceramic milling bodies in water medium under excessive pressure of 0.5 - 150 kPa for 6-12 h and produced suspension is stabilized in ball mill without milling bodies under air rough pumping of 0.1 - 97 kPa for 5-24 h. Pieces are cast into gypsum moulds, dried and calcinated in vacuum or protecting atmosphere for 10-48 h under maximum temperature of 1250 - 1500 C. EFFECT: method allows to produce quartz ceramics pieces with lowered porosity, high strength and corrosion resistance in aggressive mediums. |
