Food heater with cooling space and door seal

The charging hole (8) is closed off below by the base (7) of the cooking space, and the seal (11) between door (9) and housing (2) reaches up beyond the base, the seal lip (14) thus angled forward (13) where it faces the door. The lip tapers upwards to end in a triangular piece (16) whose tip edge closes onto the inside (17) of the door when closed. When the door is open the seal is concave (18) on the upper surface, so that the rear end of the seal terminates at the base in the open door setting. The seal is made of elastomer. The seal can be designed as a hollow profile and is plugged or pushed onto a rail (20) fitted to the front of the housing below the base level. The front of the housing forms a U-recess viewed in section and the seal is projected forward into the charging hole at another wall. The food being heated produces its own juices or thaw water etc. or has added fluid using the specified seal design to prevent leakage. The concave part of the seal runs out at a tangent close to the door inside when this is closed so as to collect descending drips.
