The arrangement consists of two coaxially mounted half drums (11a,11b) with flanges (125) on which cutters (24,28) are mounted. The drums with cutters are connected to a shaft (16) which is driven by motors (15). The motors are mounted inside the half drums and are attached to a central, vertical support plate (12). The support plate extends over the whole height of the half drums. Supports (20) on which the half drums are mounted are integral with the central support plate (12) from which they extend sideways. Bearings (19) which are mounted on the supports carry the half drums. The width of the bearings extend partly over the width of the motors.
