Hollow beam consists of an inorganic material and contains a continuous hollow cavity (2) and forms a vertical arrangement with other beams, joined at the end faces by a locking beam (5). The beam height corresp. to a storey height. The beams are connected to the locking beam by locking bodies (7), which are inserted in the hollow cavities of the beams, in a releasable joint. At least one part of the locking beam is of concrete or may be of an inorganic foam material. At least part of the hollow beam is of concrete. A cement-polymer dispersion may be used for an adhesive bond in the joints.
