Multiple image generator system e.g. for colour copier

Image generators each produce images on several recording carriers, and a transfer device transmits the images from the carriers onto the same recording material. The image generators and the transfer devices are so controlled that preset images are generated in certain sections of the recording material.The generated images are divided in an orthogonal direction w.r.t.the recording material transport direction. Position deviations are measured by determining the recording positions of the preset images.A control provides changes of the starting times of the image generators in dependence on the output signal of the measuring appts.Pref. the image generators are designed for use of a laser beam in the image generation on each recording carrier
