Walking walling mechanism supporting mine=gallery roof

The mechanism supports the gallery roof where it joins onto the main road. The frames (1-3) are aligned on the gallery axis so that the road mouth (4) is situated between the middle and rear frames in the working direction. The middle frame (2) has two sole beams (15) spaced apart in the lateral direction and each with hydraulic rams (15,16) one behind the other supporting narrow lengthwise roof rails (17). The rear frame (3) forms a shield, having a wide cowl (20) protruding forwards. The front frame (1) is shaped like a catamaran boat, with two parallel sole beams (11), on which are rams (12) supporting a cowl (13) protruding rearwards.The cowls work together at their ends and cover the space between the rails. The front and middle frames are coupled by walking rams (30) extended in the basic position. A walking mechanism on the skids (21) of the rear frame is coupled to the beams of the middle one and to the gallery conveyor (7).
