The method for manufacturing pearl buttons includes the steps of: cutting original abalone shell into several band shaped pieces; making the surface of pieces smooth and flat; dividing the pieces into thin pieces of several sheets; attaching the divided thin pieces to a rectangular plate to form a button plate; forming button shell from the button plate by blanking process; and manufacturing pearl buttons by polishing and cornering.
